The JB McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Fitness and Sports Center is located in the west end of the Robert J. Dole Community Center. With more than 75,000 square feet of space, the fitness center offers a variety of fitness and sports activities for our guests. The Fitness and Sports Center is staffed 90 hours per week and accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week through our Fitness Access initiative. Authorized patrons can register for after-hours fitness access at the front desk.
In order to gain access, members must complete all three steps and return to the facility they would like access to after-hours with their Statement of Understanding (SoU) and their ID card to have it activated in the system. Please note, there is a separate SoU for Servicemembers / DoD Civilians and Retirees / Dependents. If at any point a member's ID card is lost and replaced, they must bring their new ID card back to the facility to be activated in the system again. Members will not have access without the activation from the Fitness Center. Additionally, if a member would like access to more than one facility they will need to visit each facility with their SoU and ID card.
Step 1: Read the Policy Letter: Access to Unmanned Fitness Center*
Step 2: Watch the Mandatory Training Video
Step 3: Sign and Return the SoU to a Fitness Center During Regular Manned Hours
* Please note: The Policy Access Letter is currently being updated and will be posted immediately once complete.
