87FSS Youth Programs presents this year's Summer Specialty Camps! Kicking off the summer season with 87FSS YP's Olympic Day" Kick Off Summer Extravaganza"!! This year's camps feature sports, culinary, performing arts, and science - something for everyone! Program dates start in July and run through August - read on for more information.

Olympic Day "Kick Off Summer Extravaganza"
June 27 • 9:00am-2:00pm

Mark your calendars for the Kickoff of the Summer Extravaganza at John Mann Park Thursday June 27 9:00am to 3:00pm, no cost. The 87FSS Youth Programs & School Age Care Summer Camp Programs and Youth of the entire community are welcome to participate in Olympic Style Field Day games, entertainment, and fun events. Program will start with an Opening Ceremony. Open to eligible member's ages 6-18 years old. The event will be held at John Mann Park, JBMDL Dix

MVP 360 Football Camp
July 15 - July 19 • 9:00am-12:00pm
FSS Fitness Center McGuire - MultiPurpose Field

Participant will be introduced to instructional/ developmental, teamwork and leadership, and the fundamental skills of the game of football. Youth will enhance their physical fitness and learn the importance of proper nutritional values to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Open to ages 9-18
Cost: $25 per participant

Chef K Advanced Culinary Healthy Cooking Camp
July 22 - July 26 • 10:00am-1:00pm
FSS Military & Family Readiness Center

Participant's interest in learning child nutrition teaches youth topics that range from nutrition facts and labeling and food safety that includes hands-on food preparation techniques, to prepare food dishes from different countries. Come join this camp and celebrate with us.

Archery Camp
July 29 - August 2
Ages 9-12: 9:00am-11:00am
Ages 13-18: 12:00pm-2:00pm

Participants will learn to overcome distractions and obstacles, improve eye-hand coordination, learn safety skills, and enjoy the thrill of target shooting. Archery provides a fundamental relaxation quality in which the immediate moment. Archery is a self-challenging and rewarding activity, blending physical and mental math skills are reinforced during routine scoring in archery.

McGuire Base Theater

Performing arts camp focuses on the developing youth and community interest in the performing arts through weeklong workshops and rehearsals culminating in one or two performances on the final day for the community.

MVP 360 Jr. NBA/WNBA Basketball Academy
August 12 - August 16
Ages 7-12: 9:00am-11:00am
Ages 13-18: 11:00am-1:00pm

Basketball Coaches will instruct youth on the fundamentals of the game of basketball. Youth will learn skills such as dribbling,
passing, shooting, and how to play defense. Youth will enhance their physical fitness and learn the importance of teamwork.

MVP 360 Volleyball Camp
August 19 - August 23
Ages 9-12: 9:00am-10:30am
Ages 13-18: 12:30pm-2:00pm

Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of serving, passing, (forearm underhand passing), blocking, and defensive skills instructional/ developmental, teamwork and leadership, fun aspect of the in a safe environment. Youth will enhance their physical fitness and learn the importance of proper nutritional values to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

This is an All-Skill Program and welcome all levels of experience.

Science Camp
August 26 - August 30 • 9:00am-12:00pm

Team Plague Busters – The goal of the science camp is to expand and assist youths' understanding of a variety of scientific experiments, discoveries, and technologies as a lifelong skill and potential career choice. Science activities will be covered around robotics, geology, scientific method, electricity, solar power, astronomy, chemistry, and rockets.
